Slade Ciric

WORKS
Boundary pushing writer of crime, horror and dark fantasy short stories from Minnesota; fresh, relentless, uncensored and full of surprises.Â

Slade hates snow and loves candy. He used to watch a lot of movies, but is now chained to a desk, trying to juggle writing, editing, marketing and life itself.Â

Experience familiar themes such as werewolves and cosmic horror from a new and bold perspective.

In for 1, Out for 2
Have you ever paid a buck to join, but then had to pay two to leave?
Our self-proclaimed hero, a failed writer looking for new inspiration, bites off way more than he can chew when he confronts a criminal snuff film ring—but receives unexpected help in the form of a cowboy sidekick.
Accompanied by an overweight booze vendor, they go on a rampage that leads them deeper into a swamp of violence, death, and old money.
A stylish, genre-bending short story where buddy-cop action movies meets film noir, Western, and dark comedy.

Demon Wolves
A continuous lycanthropic bloodline spreads to new hosts and sows death across centuries and two continents.

When a drunkard in 18th-century France accidentally drinks water from a wolf’s paw, he does not suspect that it will cause death and destruction reaching all the way to 20th-century America.

If you’re up for a werewolf story that doesn’t have a sexy wolf-man protagonist but delivers the violence and dread, this is for you.
The Call

An abundance of Lovecraftian nightmares coming at you in this pseudo-sequel to Dreams in the Witch House.

Mort Brooks, a retired bus driver, is being driven crazy by a persistent rodent that has taken up residence in his ceiling. The event is followed by weird dreams and a strange illness.

Become absorbed in a reality filled with tentacles, slime, and apocalyptic events.

If you love cosmic horror, you will love this. You don't hear this often with this type of story, but it was based on true events...
Rude Awakening

The nightmare continues in this imaginative follow-up to The Call.

More scheming gods, more gore, and more tentacles in a distorted reality gone insane through eldritch machinations.

Just when we thought a sequel to The Call wasn’t even possible, we were endlessly surprised.

COMING SOON...
A collection of three short stories and three vignettes, dark, brutal and sometimes outright disgusting.Â

A wedding interrupted by old enemies, a girl born with a strange appetite, an ice cream truck that is not what it seems (even if you think you know what it seems to be), a careful killer's misstep, an inheritance that costs too much and a breakup that derails everything.... catching breath... all that in one book!

ABBATOIR

The Call Collection
The Call and Rude Awakening were previously released as separate eBooks, but were too short to be published as individual physical editions.

To make them available in print, we have combined the original story and its sequel into this mini anthology.

This gives the collection enough pages to make for a proper, albeit small, paperback, rather than publishing two flimsy pamphlets.

This particular release will not be available digitally.

Family Values

The Call beckons again with this unconnected short story rooted in the same universe.

Follow two detectives on a trail of increasingly strange events revolving around the disappearance and murder of a prominent family’s problematic son.

This standalone tale is appropriate for new readers, as well as a nice tie-in for those who have read the previous stories.
